Our drive for quality begins at the beginning. By hand-picking and selecting only the best quality fruits we differ from producers that use machinery which cannot differentiate between fresh and spoiled fruits. The result is a cleaner, clearer and fresher juice. Only by hand-picking can we continue to preserve our rare and ancient apple trees which continue to produce varieties discovered as far back as the 1600’s.
Once picked, our apples and pears return to our farm where they are cleaned, and pressed within just a few hours of picking. Our juices are cold-pressed for freshness and to ensure we retain the abundance of vitamins, minerals and antioxidants naturally found in these fruits helping to reduce inflammation, improve circulation and boost immunity.
Every last drop of our juice is bottled by hand. Once our juice has settled it is ready to be bottled into our 25cl or 75cl options. Our commitment to being involved in every step of the process gives us complete control and complete confidence in the products we make here at Welsh Farmhouse.
The Morris family have been making apple juice from their farm for over 15 years. In the summer of 2019, John and Margaret handed over the reins to their Son David and his partner Emma. John and Margaret have passed on their knowledge and passion for producing premium quality juices and David and Emma are now continuing their hard work with some new ideas already in mind.
As a small producer based in rural Wales we were overjoyed when HRH the Prince Charles first asked us to press and bottle his apple and pear juices. Some years later when he asked to visit our farm, we couldn’t say yes quickly enough. We could never have anticipated that following his visit we would end up being one of the smallest food and drink companies in the world to be honoured with the Royal Warrant.
